Each production is rooted in Akram Khan’s classical Kathak and modern dance training and his fascination with storytelling.

Aims/what are they trying to achieve?

DV8 Physical Theatre's work is about taking risks, aesthetically and physically, about breaking down the barriers between dance and theatre and, above all, communicating ideas and feelings clearly and unpretentiously. Their focus is putting dance back with meaning behind it and telling a story through dance. This had been lost through formalised technique.
